Week 16 of 2017

Happy Easter!!!

To celebrate Easter I decided to take some much deserved time off with the children, and where best to do this but Flamingo Land in Malton North Yorkshire!!

I have so many happy memories from visiting as a child, so I couldn’t wait to take the kids and make some new memories. Flamingo Land now has a holiday resort so we decided to take the camper and have a mini adventure!!

We traveled up the A64 expecting bank holiday traffic delays but nothing! the drive was bliss, when we arrived at the park there were staff there to direct everyone to their accommodation. We was obviously in the camper but next time were definitely staying in one of their Lodges or Cottages they were lovely with many of them having private hot tubs…!

We spent Saturday afternoon going round the park our first stop was Muddy Duck Farm then Dino Stone park which had some great easter inspired games for the children  .… The sun was shining it was perfect, we had a pit stop at the little country pub onsite then went over to watch the Pirates of Zanzibar show. We had heard loads about it but had never seen it for ourselves… and it was not a disappointment it was great the kids loved it.

At tea time I stayed on plan and we eat at the beautiful Mansion House they made the kids feel really welcome and the food was delicious.

We sadly didn’t get to see much of the evening entertainment as we would of liked to we like to keep to routine with Arlo (my youngest) but the bit we caught was great, the atmosphere was fantastic.

The facilities for the campers and tourers was great with larges pitches and electricity etc if required.

After all the fresh air we slept like babies (literally) the camp was lovely and peaceful.

Day 2 – We explored the park a little more, the kids loved the Zoo – with the new Black Rhino being top of the list.

As the kids are fairly young still they wasn’t so keen on we the big rides but they were still loads for them to do and things to see. I’d recommend if you are visiting its worth staying over as there is too much to see and do one day just doesn’t seem long enough.

We will most definitely be returning in the summer for a little longer. It’s prefect for family time!!
